There has been lots of buzz about HIIT training. HIIT stands for high intensity interval training! High intensity interval training is a great way to boost your metabolism and lose weight. It is a fact that the treadmill by itself is not the best weight loss equipment you can use, for the simple fact that it is purely aerobic and does very little to spike your metabolism so here is a simple treadmill workout first though you might wonder what exactly is interval training?

It is when you perform an exercise for a short period of time at a high intensity level followed by a two minute workout period of a lower intensity level interval training on a treadmill may look like this: run 2 minutes at 8 miles per hour, rest by walking at 2 miles per hour for 2 minutes, run another two minutes on a treadmill at 8 miles per then, rest by walking for 2 minutes at a speed of 2 miler per hour. You keep doing this until you have done a total of 30 minutes working out on the treadmill. This is known as treadmill interval training all you need is to start losing weight with this method of treadmill training is to perform this three to four times a week.

The next element to a successful treadmill interval training is your diet. You need to lower calories by five hundred calories a day and stop consuming fatty and fried foods. Consume fresh vegetables and fruits and lower your intake of starchy carbohydrates. You also need to get enough rest. Sleep at least eight hours a day and try to get as many cat naps as you can get to ensure you recover from your workouts. That is all you need to begin on the journey of getting the body you always wanted.
